SXBC @ Urton Cirkus Invitational Summer Session Skellefteå

Urton Open Summer Session Skellefteå

It's a Snowracer event in central Skellefteå this weekend (June 28 and 29). Some of us will be there, at least on the 29:th since most of us are working this Friday. The Urton crew promise to build a good slope down towards Skellefteå river (water landing). Helmets, lifejacket and a Snowracer can be borrowed.

Rumors say that the Urton crew will fix a Snowracer jump with water landing at the Skellefteå festival last weekend in June. We will keep you updated as soon as we know more.

SXBC in Duved

The day after Urton Open Anders and Peter walked to the top of Duved (part of Åre skiing resort). The trip lasted three hours and marked the end of snowracing season 12/13. There is a video from the trip available on vimeo.

Anders took third place at Urton open 2013

Anders and Peter is back from Urton Open 2013. The snowracing level was high and we had a blast going there. We made a short video of Anders jumps in the final. More videos will follow.

Urton open 2013

Tomorrow, Anders and Peter will drive towards the skiing resort Åre and Urton Open. Urton Open is the biggest snowracing event in the world and we are looking forward to it.

Bob in Bygdsiljum 2013

It's tradition to go snowracing when the skiing slope in Bygdsiljum close for the season. This year Bygdsiljum closed on 21:st of April. We have one video and two photos from the event. The crew page is updated with pictures of Fredrik M, Peter N and Kristoffer H.

Two new videos available. Both videos are around 45 seconds and shoot in Bygdsiljum. The videos include SXBC members Anders, Fredrik and Peter.

Photo section added

Added a photo section to this web-page. When SXBC was as most active (1997-2001) we didn't have good photo equipment. Almost all footage from that time is taken with a video8 camera and digitalized with home equipment from that time; a Matrox graphics card capable of capturing analog video.

We have uploaded our three videos This is SXBC, 2001: a snowrace odyssey and SXBC 2003 on Vimeo.

The videos where recorded between 1996 and 2003. We had lots of fun making the videos and hope you will enjoy them. Keep in mind that home video equipment wasn't as cheap and good as it is today.

Urton open 2013

The first Urton open was held 2008. Since then the event has grown every year and the 2012 video is awesome. Anders is definitely going and hopefully some more of us.

As in previous years there will be a slope-style competition; but there is also a new event that looks like a mix of parallel-slalom and slope-style called Parra Slope.

10 years of silence has come to an end

It was more or less ten years since the last update of sxbc.nu. We have switched to sxbc.se and redesigned the page. From now on it will be more focus on the Snowracing scene and less focus on the SXBC-crew. We still enjoy Snowracing so there will be plenty of footage from our Snowracing endeavors.
